“Wait for the LORD; Be strong and let your heart take courage; Yes, wait for the LORD.” ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭27:14‬ ‭ . . Every mountain, every valley, every joy and every pain. Lord, transform me for Your glory. I don’t want to stay the same. You’re all I want, Jesus. I’m known by You and I’m found in You. And I’ll trust Your love ‘cause I know that You are my good. Jesus, You are my good. (Jen Delgado)
✨“He has made everything appropriate in its time. He has also set eternity in their heart, yet so that man will not find out the work which God has done from the beginning even to the end.” ‭‭Ecclesiastes‬ ‭3:11‬ ‭ . It’s definitely fall and my calendar is starting to fill up and I only have one kid left at home! There are a lot of special things ahead-birthdays, grandson’s baby dedication, in-law’s 60th anniversary party, nephew’s wedding and of course the holidays. I’m very thankful for all these blessings. 🧡 Thank you @hiyapapayaphotoaday for the grid feature today!🧡
“But as for me, I shall sing of Your strength; Yes, I shall joyfully sing of Your lovingkindness in the morning, for You have been my stronghold and a refuge in the day of my distress.” ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭59:16‬ ‭ - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Cold weather to me means coffee, coffee and soup. Roasted squash soup is one of my favorites. I added a dollop of spaghetti squash and a sprinkle of chives and cilantro to my soup today. Time to roast some more squash for next week! (Acorn squash, butternut squash, sweet potato, onion and maybe some pumpkin)
“For I know the plans that I have for you,' declares the LORD, 'plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon Me and come and pray to Me, and I will listen to you.” ‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭29:11-12‬ ‭ ———— Gold Canyon discount code COUNTRYLIFE18 for $10 off purchase of $50 🧡 I’m drinking even more coffee this week since winter has come to south Texas. 😋🧡
This truck has a past. It has a story. There’s a certain charm that attracts us. We can see how trials and circumstances in this world have made it what it is today. Someone decided not discard it, but to appreciate it. Our story would be incomplete without our past, even our failures, wounds, disappointments and losses. Sometimes we don’t like some things in our past, but if we want freedom from it we need to embrace it and face it. It is a part of our story. Sometimes we think we can just ignore it, so we don’t have to deal with it. We need to accept it as part of our story, so that we can move forward. Satan wants to keep us going backward, but Jesus wants to lead us forward. Jesus told the Samaritan woman at the well to go get her husband. He needed her to bring her past to Him, so she could move to the future in freedom. God is about moving us forward, but He wants to show us what was. “Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come.” ‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭5:17‬ ‭NASB‬‬ We need to place our past at the cross. Everything I have done is on the cross, and everything that has been done to me is also on the cross. Jesus has done a finished work for those He loves and now sits on His throne and wants to give us a glorious future. Jesus is our Redeemer. “Even in heaven we will celebrate the past of Jesus Christ.” -Louie Giglio (Chain Breaker Series) #truthtrumpsfeelings
“Therefore I am well content with weaknesses, with insults, with distresses, with persecutions, with difficulties, for Christ's sake; for when I am weak, then I am strong.” ‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭12:10‬ ‭ Sometimes I find myself just like the disciples in the boat, after just seeing Jesus perform miracle after miracle. When storms come with waves of doubt, I sometimes take my eyes off of Him and on myself or on my circumstances...again. But He is the lifter of my head. I read again in His word that He is my refuge and He is my strength. When I listen to 2 Kings, I hear over and over how God gave the kings of Israel great strength and then they forgot Him and went out in their own strength. They could not prevail without the God of Israel. They went against Him and were defeated. He would bring up another to lead the people back to Him and make that king strong. How many times I have also forgotten that it is God who is strong-not me. In my weakness He is made strong! Today I am recognizing my weaknesses and asking God to be my strength, so that through my life He can be glorified. “Finally, be strong in the Lord and the strength of His might.” Eph 6:10
“The LORD appeared to him from afar, saying, "I have loved you with an everlasting love; Therefore I have drawn you with lovingkindness.” ‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭31:3‬ What a comfort to know that even when we are “far off” God loves us and draws us to Himself. He really is a good, good Father. Happy Sunday. #kellyandgregsyard
✨“Rejoice always; pray without ceasing; in everything give thanks; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus.” ‭‭1 Thessalonians‬ ‭5:16-18‬ ‭ This passage has been close to my heart for most of my adult life. It doesn’t take long to figure out we will have trials in this Christian walk. How can we possibly “rejoice always”? I think the rest of the passage answers that question. By praying without ceasing and being thankful in (not for) every circumstance. Instead of worrying or feeling life has just dealt us a bad deal, we can declare that God is sovereign and that His plan for our lives is perfect. We have an opportunity to trust Him and allow Him to grow us in faith. 🧡Thank you @raw_challenge_ @raw_community and @9vaga_dailythemes9 for the feature today! 🧡
Hello, big boy!(taken from my front porch) 😋#nohuntingallowed “The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me, Because the LORD has anointed me To bring good news to the afflicted; He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to captives And freedom to prisoners;” ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭61:1‬ ‭
“Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us, to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations forever and ever.
