I can’t tell you how many gyms I’ve joined over the years, the most consistent I ever was, was right before I got married.. got a personal trainer and then as soon as we got back from our honeymoon I was done!. . I’ve joined so many gyms right after the new year (like everyone else!) and stopped going after a month or two. . I’ve wandered aimlessly around the weight machines and gotten not so friendly looks in the free weight areas!. . Nothing to me the results I’ve wanted.. craved! But working out in my unfinished basement is where I am most consistent! Following a planned schedule of what to do every day and following a professional trainer on my laptop and I’ve lost 20 pounds!! The best is I can do it when I can fit it in. No difficulty finding a parking spot, no waiting for machines, no wasted time! Just 30 minutes of focused workout and DONE!!. . What are you waiting for??? What do you do when you are exhausted regularly, have trouble sleeping and can't seem to find the drive to put one foot in front of the other? Me, I kept fighting for myself. When traditional medicines let me down I sought out holistic options and found out that I have adrenal fatigue and low testosterone, what?!?! And how do you treat that? I remember the day that I was delivered the news and I was crushed. I felt failed by a system that was not designed to treat my symptoms. 🍁 I’ve spent way too much time indoors pre- and post-surgery this year and now I’m incredibly grateful to be able to enjoy the colours of fall for a few more weeks! So I took my weights and virtual workout onto the patio outside my bedroom today. 💞 . Gimme a 🔥 in the comments if you’ll add these 2 burners to your next leg day! Weights optional. . 👉 Swipe thru for more and follow form cues below. . 1️⃣ Bowler Lunge w/Blast + Screamers: Angle front foot slightly out to focus exercise on outer glutes. Take long stride back and behind with opposite leg (weighted side). Maintain bodyweight in heel of forward foot, lower body keeping chest up, raise body and lift back leg at angle. Repeat 10-12 reps, set weight down and then sink into rapid screamers, 15 reps, staying as low as possible and maintaining front knee over ankle. . 2️⃣ Double Dippers: All 3 moves count as ONE REP!! 10 reps per leg = 30 lunges/squats!! 😳 You. Are Welcome! . Lunge front with a long enough stride to get your front knee to a 90 degree angle/knee remaining above your ankle. Slide your hips back and stick your backside out, dip, rise, dip and push back. Moving the same leg, step wide with feet angled open and knees following your toes. Dip into a sumo squat, keeping chest up, shoulders down and back as straight as possible (imagine it against a wall), push into your heels, rise, dip again and push back to center. Rear lunge, same leg, same form as front. Keep both legs on 2 separate “rails” - not a “balance beam”. . 3️⃣ Finish each set with SuperHero Pose like the Boss you are. .
