The world would be better if we all started carrying books with us again. . Instead of killing time between meetings with checking InstaGram... . Instead of wasting time on Facebook waiting for your real friends to show up... . Instead of watching the news to "unwind" before bed... . Pick up a book... and read. . It doesn't have to be chapters on end because even getting in a few pages here, a few pages there, are still a good investment of your time. . Remember, the seeds we plant into our mind today sprout into our reality tomorrow. . Fill your mind with negative. You become negative. . Fill your mind with positive. You become positive. . Fill your day with mindless entertainment. You become mindless. . Fill you day with success oriented actions. You become successful. . Most peoples excuse for anything is they don't have time. But in reality if we use the 5 minutes here, 10 minutes there, more effectively in our day we have time to advance our life... . To learn that new skill... . To gain more knowledge like in my case right now to learn about investing and longterm financials to one day provide a better life for my family... . To cultivate a better mindset... . To learn from successful leaders... . And the list could go on and on... . But my point is, those minutes of "downtime" add up... and how we use them directly impacts our life. . Each one of us has 24 hours in a day… No more, no less.
.
What we do and don’t do in those 24 hours creates our reality.
.
Because of this, so much emphasis is on dominating the day... getting the absolute most out of every single day... which I certainly understand as you have to go out and use that time to create the life you want.
.
But, it does lead to people neglecting the importance of quality sleep.
.
With all of the distractions of the fast paced, wired society that we live in... getting away from it all to actually unwind, relax, allowing your body and mind to let go and rest... is really tough!
.
As I have learned more and more about the benefits of actually getting rest, such as better recovery, brain function, proper hormone production, higher metabolism, better fat loss and increased cognitive function... I have made getting QUALITY sleep more of a priority in the last year.
.
I typically run well on lower amounts of sleep but have actually now set hours dedicated for quality sleep, 10pm to 3:07 am... every night. If life happens and it gets thrown off, I simply adjust to make sure I am getting 5 or more hours of sleep.
.
I use Core-21 almost every night. Because sleep is more about QUALITY over quantity. Since I know I am lower on hours, I focus on maximizing them. My mind normally runs 24/7 and I use to have trouble falling asleep, staying asleep, and waking up feeling rested. Adding in Core-21 though has helped me unwind in the evening, I stay asleep and even notice I am in such a deep sleep I dream, and I wake up feeling like I actually slept.

Taking my sleep seriously and focusing on actually resting and getting quality sleep has had a huge positive impact on my life. I feel more recovered and recharged, I am leaner than I have ever been in my life, and I'm more productive during the day.

If you're someone who is looking to improve your physical or mental self, improving your sleep quality is a great place to start.

Remember, we only get 24 hours, so use the ones while you are awake wisely and maximize the ones you are asleep.

To read every day..That was a goal of mine for 2018.

Otro libro para el 2019. Sencillo, narrativo autobiográfico. El autor abre su vida tanto personal como empresarial para sugerirnos las claves que él ha identificado como necesarias para alcanzar el éxito.  Narrado de una manera amena, humilde, objetiva y desde la experiencia. Fácil de leer en 1 ó 2 días. Un libro, que se puede aplicar a muchos aspectos de la vida. Creo que es muy importante apostar por nuestros sueños, al fin y al cabo sólo tenemos una vida y ya no vale desperdiciarla en satisfacer un sistema al que poco le importa nuestra felicidad. 
Creo que hay 5 aspectos vitales que hay que intentar  cubrir (sacado de otro libro; “Minimalismo”): SALUD, RELACIONES, PASIÓN, CRECIMIENTO PERSONAL y AYUDA a los demás. “EL MOTOR DEL ÉXITO” está totalmente en sintonía con estos conceptos y los refuerza. Como médico tengo cada día más claro, que tenemos que apostar por un modelo más filosófico y menos químico-farmacológico de Salud. Básicamente podría decir que un 60-80% de los pacientes que veo todos los días tienen una importante base de insatisfacción y sufrimiento emocional. 
Lectura muy recomendada. Lectura obligada para gente que desee emprender o simplemente apostar por su pasión. Y para el que no tenga visión emprendedora, también tiene muchos conceptos que aportar.

Happy National Library Day!!! 🤔 Ok, maybe not, but let’s talk about everything your community library has to offer starting with.....📚BOOKS!!! I talk so much about the importance feeding your body with proper foods and exercise, but let’s not forget about fueling our MIND 🧠.

For those of us on limited budgets who cannot afford the price tags of most books, or just don’t WANT to spend the money 🙋🏼‍♀️, the library is a wonderful option...I mean, you can’t beat FREE ⚡️. .
And forget the days of having to utilize the #deweydecimalsystem (if you were born after 1990, look it up...the rest of us 🦖 get it) most community libraries offer the option of placing your request for books, and now DVDs 📀, from the comfort of online at home 🏡. What you don’t have internet? No problem—-the library’s got your back with free newspaper, media and online resources 💻. .

Got kiddos?! Looking for a fun afternoon activity? Why not take them to the library and pick out bedtime stories for the week😴 or help let them choose their next adventure to explore on their own! Have your little ones 👶🏻 participate in #storyhour led by one of the librarians/volunteers—Who knows?! They may even make a friend 👯‍♀️#bookbuddies. .

There is so much your local library can offer—a sense of community, an active imagination, a plethora (SAT word 🤓)of resources , a broader mind....and it’s all FREE...so what’s YOUR excuse?! .

Just made it through my first book of the year. I’ve never been one to read self development books but it was a great read. The big takeaway: ...the things that create success in the long run don’t look like they’re having any impact at all in the short run. Most people don’t stick with the simple daily disciplines it takes to get where they want to go because they don’t know how to look ahead far enough along the curve to see the results they are creating. It’s about doing the mundane, everyday simple things that will help you achieve your goals...doing the things that are easy to do, but also just as easy not to do. #10pagesaday #selfdevelopmentbooks #bealeader #theslightedgephilosophy #dothething.
