If I had to start over with my memories wiped, but got to choose 1 book to give myself... this is what I’d pick.
The actions we take every day either make the slight edge work for us, or against us.
They either push you towards success, or failure.
And it’s all up to you.
Little things might not matter in the moment. But the same bad choice repeated and compounded over 40 years can leave you with a life of regret.
If you choose the right thing... whether it’s waking up at 6am instead of hitting snooze, reading 10 pages everyday, or trying to tackle 1 thing that you fear each day. Then you’ll thrive, and develop into the person you’re supposed to be!
What book would you give yourself? ...
There’s something about being in a bookstore that inspires me. Maybe it’s the fact that sometimes we go into the store not looking for anything in particular, but a book always seems to catch our attention.
Or maybe it’s that we can go into the store and come out with a book completely different than anyone else. Have you ever though about what draws us to a specific book, at that specific time?
I think we go in not knowing what we want, but ultimately being given exactly what we need at that time in our life. It’s like all we needed was to shut our minds off for a while and see where life takes us.
It reminds me a lot about the experiences we have in life. Everyone goes through different things in their life and no story is exactly the same, it’s not suppose to be. We can try to plan the path for our life, but challenges will be faced that we didn’t see coming and on the flip side, success will be had in areas we couldn’t have predicted years ago.
Don’t be so focused on one path that you fail to see all the other journeys you are on. Take time to let your body and mind tell you what you need. It may surprise you and it also might help you see what else you may be able to excel at. ...

Do you remember your favorite childhood book?
As a kid, I loved reading! I’d read almost every Junie B. Jones and Magic Tree house book published but my favorite was called The Doll People! I’ve always had a huge book collection so it’s no surprise that I still do!
But like many people, I went through a phase in high school and college where you couldn’t pay me to pick up a book and read for fun! I had “better things to do.”
The summer after I graduated, I regained my love for reading again and read close to 12 books! Don’t even ask me how!
If I’m being honest, I spend way too much time in Barnes and Noble on a weekly basis and my family thinks I’m crazy, but I can’t help it!
I read a minimum of 10 pages every day, but often times it’s much more than that!
Reading has taught me a lot about myself. It helps me out of funks and provides an escape from the stress that comes with everyday life.
It’s a powerful tool in today’s world when we are constantly surrounded by technology.
There is so much to be learned out there that doesn’t come through a screen.
So put the phone down, and pick up a book tonight before you go to bed. Start with just 10 pages a day!
If you need a book suggestion, send me a message and I’d be happy to recommend one of my favorites!
What are you doing to grow your mind and personal self? .
Reading is one of my favorite activities and being able to grow myself in the process is a win-win!
If you read even just 10 pages a day for 250 days out of the year that’s 2,500 = or about 10 books!
What kind of person do you think you’ll be if you read 10 personal development books in the next year?.
What has been one of your favorite personal development books? ...
Great morning y’all ! While reading the last few pages of my book the #SlightEdge I am just so grateful to know that I am not alone on so many levels. This book is an easy read, he spreads to you like you would speak to a friend, he puts it out there and helps you understand that your success personal / spiritual / financial / health is not found “one day” ... it’s found through tiny habits implemented daily that lead to your goal and more
It’s not that surging moment of pure motivation that will ultimately land you on your “goal”, you’re kidding yourself if you think that will last forever. We are human. Like this book says - “Embrace the “funk” when it comes and goes in our lives!” Acknowledge it for what it is and move forward. Those moments create a habit. A habit of moving forward. They build self discipline!
