🏀Every player needs it. It’s in demand with today’s game and it can be your greatest asset or an adversary if not implemented correctly. 🏀There’s foot speed and hand speed. Both are advantageous to all players and it is something you CAN IMPROVE if you put the work in CONSISTENTLY! There are an assortment of exercises and drills to increase speed based on your needs. For myself, I want to become a faster ball handler to simply throw off my defender to create room to shoot my jump shot. 🏀This simple crossover 1,2 btl is ideal for myself to do just that. Start off at an average speed an increase accordingly. PUSH YOURSELF to go as fast as you can WHILE MAINTAINING CONTROL of the ball. Movements should be tight and precise! If you mess up...WHO CARES! Get the ball and go again...and again! During the making of this video (this particular drill) I went at it for approximately 8-10 minutes! 🏀The next stage is to add your footwork to throw off the defender. Faking left or right with a pull back crossover is an option as is a standard step back. Just get out there and DO IT! Did you notice something? NO COURT, NO HOOP! Anywhere, anytime ✊🏾🏀💯‼️ PURSUE PROGRESS 🤙🏾🏀. *Yes, this is the fastest I can go.*
