Preparing for my next mega printing marathon by tearing about a zillion sheets of paper to the right size. This must be the most tedious part of my printmaking process as each piece of paper has to be accurately measured and torn with tender love and care. Although its super slow, I like to prep my paper like this, as opposed to cutting it with a blade, mainly because I like the way it looks, but also because I remember hearing that tearing it is actually better for the paper fibres. (I'm dreaming of buying one of those deckle edge rippers but they're just super expensive. If you know a good and affordable source, please let me know!) Still a few (thousand) sheets left to go... 🥴
What did you UNBOX from FinerWorks.com today?
Thanks for the mention @white_stone_studio we think it was a puuurrrdy great print too. And 👏 for providing your talent to a good cause.
I had this print made by FinerWorks.com to donate as an auction item for Homeless Cat Management Team’s annual fundraising dinner - and they did a wonderful job, especially on the color; you can easily see the blues, violets and browns in the fur and in the background. Pretty happy with how it turned out. 😊
