So Ironman Oman turned out well in the end! My second 70.3 so far.🇴🇲 Bit of a choppy 1.9km swim, hilly but beautiful 90km bike, hot and tough 21km run! Managed a 5:10 time overall (I think I must have had a picnic in transition 1...I could have made up some time there!) However chuffed to bits with 2nd in my age group and 12th female overall. My 2nd place earned me another slot to the Ironman World Championships in Nice France 🇫🇷 in September. So it’s time to hit the hills to train! Awesome race in Oman with lots of familiar faces from Dubai all supporting each other along the way! Racing season back in full swing with the Roy Nasr Memorial Triathlon in Dubai this morning, in honor of the great man who has left us too early 5 years back after founding what became the biggest triathlon community in the world TriDubai.
Taking the plane to Beirut now to race the Batroun Triathlon tomorrow morning which also pays tribute to Roy and his legacy!
Thanks @triathlon_netty for the bike loan today, that thing is FAST! ...

Ironman 70.3 Astana:
What a weekend that was, now struggling with the Astana blues! Numerous sweeping podium finishes and World Champs qualifications for UAE athletes.
Such international events reveal time and time again the high caliber of athletes that we have in the UAE, a further incentive to stay on tiptoes and improve, making the UAE more and more prominent on the triathlon scene worldwide.
Not counting Astana, TriDubai is already ranked number 1 globally in the Ironman Triclub ranking, up from second place last year.
Thanks for everyone who has registered and raced flying the TriDubai flag, we are setting an example of how a triathlon community should be, no politics, no clique, no egos, no exclusion of any level or club, no money, no agenda, no profit, just sport.
TriDubai is unique because of this and because of the sportsmanship of its members regardless of which club they belong to, and our presence and purpose as a committee are to maintain this purity and inclusivity. This may sound too utopian for cynics, but this is probably why there will not be a lot of TriDubai's in the world, let's cherish what we have.
What an honor and a privilege to belong to and serve such a strong community both in performance and more so in sportsmanship.
THANK YOU! and congratulations again to the sweeping victories in Astana
Happy Easter and today don't forget to treat yourself with one of our swimsuit! www.boneswimmer.ae #easter ...
