Those Tuesday vibes as we dig into spring with this tasty little number
2 oz @tresagaves
1 oz Cucumber
1/2 oz Lime
1/2 oz Thai Basil & Serrano Syrup
I personally love using cucumber with tequila, but knew I also wanted to make a serrano syrup to play along with the cooling factor of the cucumber & the profile of the agave. I decided to add Thai basil, growing in my kitchen, to play along with the heat and give the syrup a slight anise note. The lime balances with the acid and the egg acts a canvas to pull all the flavor profiles out . Perfect libation for those spring vibes

Liquid magic in the making💫 Anyone else like a nice smoky cocktail too?! ...
The Gin and Tonic is one of the small selection of drinks I’ll order at a bar if the staff don’t seem to be overly familiar with mixing drinks. 🤷♀️ When I’m at home, though, I like to play with drinks and the G&T is no exception.
1/2 oz black Sambuca @gallianomoments
1/2 oz black raspberry liqueur @chambordchannel
1 oz gin
Top with tonic
Build in a glass with clear ice, top with tonic and give it a quick stir with your bar spoon. Done!
You may be familiar with the story about Charlie Thompson dropping a tray of confectionery in front of a Bassett’s client in 1899. The client was intrigued by the mixed up collection and they ended up selling them like that to great success. 🤑 But did you know that in my home country of The Netherlands 🇳🇱 we are a little bit liquorice crazy? 😜 We have almost as many varieties of liquorice as we do varieties of chocolate. 🍫 And we LOVE 💕 our chocolate!
Liquorice allsorts are called “Engelse Drop” or English liquorice 🇬🇧, while Dutch liquorice tends to be more focused on the black stuff, whether sweet or (sometimes extremely) salty. 🥴 You know, PROPER liquorice. 😉 In any case, this turned out delicious, hitting both that G&T spot as well as those delicious liquorice notes that I love so much. Not everybody likes liquorice very much though 🤷♂️ How do you feel about the black stuff?
