Ten years ago today, I got married. It was an event that would change my world and lead to the creation of this blog - which also celebrates turning a decade old in November.
I've left a few thoughts over on @annabelbeeforth , but just wanted to say thank you universe - for my darling @philipbeeforth and for the privilege of the past 10 years of marriage. And I wholeheartedly do consider it a privilege.
Marriage 'aint always easy - sometimes it's the hardest thing whilst other times, it's the sweetest. Above all else, my marriage has provided me with a framework for partnership and togetherness that I am incredibly grateful for. It has taught me so very much about team work, commitment, devotion, passion, loyalty and love. And that sometimes, you just have to agree to disagree! 🥰 (anyone else have ridiculous discussions on whether the jam or the cream should go on the scone first? 😏)
During our ceremony ten years ago, one of our best friends delivered this reading to us - this image captures that moment 😭 It was the first day of Spring, on Friday 20th March 2009 and my husband chose this reading himself. Anyone who knows him will understand why...
"I belong to you, like this plot of land, that I planted with flowers
and sweet smelling herbs.
Sweet in it’s stream,
shy by your hand,
refreshing in the North Wind.
A lovely place to wonder in, Your hand in my hand." 🌬🌸🍃
Sending love and hugs to anyone else celebrating their wedding anniversary today! 1️⃣0️⃣ 🎊💘 ...
