My intention with this side by side was to see how much my son has grown in the last year (which is ridiculous btw), but I was shocked at how different I look. I know I've lost 110 lbs, people tell me all the time how different I look, but I still have a hard time seeing it. I guess when you spend an entire decade being as big as I was it can be a challenge to suddenly see yourself differently. I'm still working on having my mind catch up with how I look. I still look in the mirror and see what I want to change, or get on the scale and hope for the number to be less. I think the mental transformation can sometimes be harder than the physical one, but I'm working on it. .

This graphic shows many reasons why it’s a good idea to use the scale daily as a TOOL in your weight loss journey! There are so many reasons for a gain so if u see it on the scale don’t throw in the towel! Chances are that one of these are a factor ESPECIALLY if you are being consistent and persistent in your food choices. .

Anyone can take a pretty picture, but you don’t always see the NOT flattering parts, but this is real life. This is what -135 lb stomach looks like. (And 3 kids!!) Check out my posts to see my before pics at 296 lbs! But let’s talk about the muscles! YES! #liift4 is amazing! I highly recommend this @beachbody program! I’m on round two because I’m so obsessed! I lost 10 lbs + gained so much muscle! I have to add that I was on a low carb high protein diet through most of the time! I’m happy to be  positive #liift4results 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻 if you have questions please ask! I will answer any and all 💁🏼‍♀️ @joelfreemanfitness .

Same pants – completely different person 💝

6 months ago I was so upset with the way I felt, the way I looked and all around pretty darn depressed.
I decided to commit to myself, my health and make a change for ME!
I joined a group of like-minded ladies that were all on their own journeys and I haven’t looked back!

Has it been easy every day? ➡️ No
Have I strayed a little off my nutrition plan the odd day? ➡️ Yes
Have I given up on my WHY? ➡️ NO!

Even when I have hard, stressful days and I feel like resorting back to my ‘emotional eating’ patterns, I have the mindset and strength to make better choices and keep myself on track. 👌
And the days that I treat myself 🍰, I don’t feel guilty or punish myself about it. Or have the thoughts of ‘Oh I already ruined my day, I might as well keep going’. 🙅‍♀️
That’s my old ‘all or nothing’ mindset which never ended well!

Days like today I feel grateful that I have kept going and so can you! 💕

🤔When you think about health and fitness goals I bet “fat loss” is the first thing that comes to mind. There’s so much more that can be offered from a fit and healthy lifestyle than just losing weight... how about:

✅Improved athletic ability
✅Improved heart health
✅Improved immune system
✅Improved flexibility and balance
✅Improved strength

When I first started my journey, I was a slave to the scale. I focused on that “number,” and those areas of stubborn fat thinking that hours of cardio and some arbitrary “goal weight” was the way to get lean and be confident.

Once I changed my focus to building muscle and BEING STRONG 💪🏻 that all changed. Lifting weights gave me a sense of real accomplishment and empowerment. Being strong has shown me how capable my body is of doing things I could never have imagined. Most important, I’ve never been more confident even though that number on the scale has gone up ❤️

Sometimes you have to stop and think about what you've accomplished. It's easy to get caught up in a

Sometimes you have to stop and think about what you've accomplished. It's easy to get caught up in a "bad" workout or an off day when it comes to nutrition. But I want to remind you (and me) to look at the big picture. When I started this program 7 weeks ago, I was lifting 2-5lb weights. And even having to drop them occasionally to finish. Today I did most of my leg workouts with 15lb dumbbells. And while it doesn't seem like much (believe me, I know there's a lot of people doing MUCH more), it's HUGE progress for me. 🎉🏋🏻‍♀️ I'm not perfect. But I try. I'm not the best. But I show up. I'm not the strongest. But I lift anyway. I'm not the skinniest. But I'm STRONG. I'm confident. I'm healthier. I'm happier. I am so proud of where I've come from and where I'm going.
