Here goes the ultimate question.......
Sweet potatoes 🍠 OR Russet potatoes 🥔 ??? I know this is incredibly difficult to answer, BUT look at it this way: If you could only eat one kind of potato for the rest of your life, which one would it be?
For me, that would have to be russet potatoes (sorry sweet potato fanatics!) Don’t get me wrong, I like both, but russet potatoes have my heart💛

🍠 But are sweet potatoes really THAT much better? The short answer— no
🔢 Looking at their calorie count and macro amounts, they’re almost identical. Their glycemic load is also the same, so what separates them?
🔎 Micronutrients! Sweet potatoes contain more fiber, vitamin A, B vitamins, calcium, and manganese. Where as russet potatoes contain more iron, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium, and selenium
🍞 Either way, any potato is a better carb source then bleached flour pasta or white bread, so enjoy whatever kind you prefer!
📲 Which kind do you like best? If I’m making fries I prefer sweet potatoes, but if I’m baking them its russet alllll day.
