Back in Barcelona after an incredible trip through Japan and Bali! Rocking my new @mysamsonite set. I clearly have some issues with overpacking haha 🤦🏻♀️ I ended up using the same few outfits and had just an insane amount of extra clothes with me. Anyone else have the same problem? Do you plan your outfits out before picking???#mysamsonite#overpacker ...
When you think you’ve seen everything and then you go to Tokyo...
Tokyo is probably one of the most fascinating cities in the world. And whether you’re visiting for the first time (like Yinon) or have spent plenty of time here (like Katerina), it always finds a way to surprise you.
✘ It feels crazy and chaotic at times but it’s one of the most efficiently organized cities in the world.
✘ There are so many people and such long lines everywhere but they are also more orderly and move faster than you can imagine.
✘ You probably think it’s super technologically advanced. And it is in some ways! The toilet seats heat themselves and play soothing music for you, even at the tiniest sushi shops and dingy bars. The trains operate on a razor sharp schedule and move smoother than a boat in calm waters. But at the same time, you have a hard time finding places that accept credit cards 💴
✘ You won’t see a single trash can or cleaning employees anywhere, yet the streets are cleaner than in most major cities. 🤷♀️
✘ Oh and let’s not forget about the game arcades! Japan is one of the few places in the world with the best game arcades - you can play really old games next to the latest VR ones. And don’t worry, you’ll look stupid doing it either way 😂 ...
TeamLab Borderless is an interactive, digital art museum where artworks and installations move throughout the rooms, making each exhibition different every time you return. ✨ This light sculpture room was my favourite! 💡
Some Tips: ✅ Book online tickets in advance! Once the online tickets sell out, that’s it (no door tickets available).
✅ Go early! Be expected to still wait approximately 45 minutes in line to get in. It’s not as scary as it looks. If you decide to go later in the day, plan for the wait in line.
✅ Try not spend too long in the most popular rooms, since you can always come back to them. Don’t forget about the 2nd floor!
✅ In the lamp sculpture room, they only allow 20 people in at a time. You will be allowed in there for 3 minutes only (yes, I timed it). So be quick with your photos and plan your shots before!
✅ Download the TeamLab Borderless app beforehand to interact with different exhibitions! ...
